but anyways it was a great time and It was so beautiful.. they dont know how lucky they are to only be an hour and 15 min away from this place!

You buy them from tropical isle...  if any other bar claims to make them you can turn them in for $300

So the past few days have been really great...
On New Years Eve we went to dinner at this amazing mexican restuarant called La Fonda's... Its really nice... They are known for their famous margaritas... When we ordered the first one, I was expecting this pretty big margarita in a glass but what came was this super tiny margarita... \

and BAM! it was toxic.. lol so thats when I figured out why they were so famous for it... His friend warned us to only order two at the max so we ordered three haha... And by the time we left we walked home to his moms which was only a few blocks away... Later that night we went out to this place called the Shilling Shack.. It is a room that people can rent and throw parties... It felt a little like a fraternity party and there were lots of people there that Grant went to school with.. It was lots of fun and by the end of the the night Grant taught me how to cajun dance lol...
The next day his mom made us an amazing dinner called Rice & Gravy...

This Dinner was absolutely amazing! We ate it twice in a row... It would actually surprise you that I liked what it was but its all about how you cook it and season it! We had garlic bread..green beans.. black eyed peas.. sweet corn... cabbage and rice & pork chops with this spicy gravy...  and it was all dabbed with tabasco sauce...Ahhhhmazing...

Later that day we decided that we wanted to play some board games like we did at Grandma Lins house on Thanksgiving so his mom went out to buy catch phrase... well a little bit later we got a phone call that she got in a car accident... somehow in the Toys R Us parking lot she ran into a stop sign that had a cement base... so she totaled her car and slightly fractured her chest and bumped her head and now she has two black eyes... It was kind of comical to see how the family personalities play out in a time of stress.... Grant like always... told jokes... when we showed up he ran up to his mom and said "Did you at least get the game first" haha...  The next hours of the day were spent taking care of his mom and driving around to find catch phrase... when we finished we went back to the house and played and it was a total hit.. now we are all addicted to it and play it all the time... Jace & this girl he is dating named Brea always play against Grant & I and it is frustrating because we always somehow seem to lose.. Not because we are bad at it but because it lands on us when the buzzer always goes off!! Ohh yah and Grant and Jace made a bet over a game and the loser had to go streaking.. well of course Grant lost so he got naked and ran down the road... just when we got to the end of the block a car came so he turned around and they saw his white butt running back..we were all hysterically cracking up and his mom was like "ohhh my gawwwwwwsh... ive raised such deviants" haha...

At the end of the night we decided to watch the movie that Grant bought me called Easy A... I absolutely LOVED it and Grant liked it too which is awesome because it is a hard core chick flick...

The next morning we slept SO late until about 1 in the morning... Oh yah I have been having really bad eye allergies at his mom house and the past few days it was swelling up and turning red but I finally got some allergy eye drops so its all cleared up..

anyway when we finally woke up we had a barbeque lunch that his mom went and got and grant and I both got this sausage dinner and of course it came with RICE : ) lol...  We spent the afternoon laying around and wathcing tv... That evening Grant took me to the church that is part  of the cathoic school that he went to from k-8 and it is absolutely BEAUTIFUL.. it is called cathedral carmel... and it is the most beautiful church I have ever seen in my entire life.. and you wanna know what else makes it amazing..??? There is palm trees in front of it on each side.... THIS is the church that I could see myself getting married in.. Seriously a fairy tale wedding.. we will add pictures later.. today we are going to go take pictures of it because obviously its innapropriate to do it during church... The cute part about the whole thing is that Grant grew up going to this church and it is a part of the school that helped raised him so I think its really neat... We noticed at chruch that his Aunt and two teenage girl cousins were there so I got to meet them after church... They were really nice and we will see them again when we go to the camp on the Gulf of Mexico..

After church we met up with his friend Tyler who is a baseball player and He looks identical to Noah fromt he Notebook and his girlfriend Sarah... The restuarants name is Petes.. and we ordered some fried pickles... I LOVE THEM... my stomach..not so much later haha... We ate a lot of them!!!...

Jace and Brea had been patiently watiting to play couples catch phrase alllllll day long so when we got back to his dads his mom and dad and brothers and jace's girl Brea & friend Rebecca were watiing there to play.. we played lots of rounds of catch phrase... His dad cracks us up because he isnt as great about giving clues and takes forever kind of like Brett did...

Hmm... today we planned on going to New Orleans but we couldnt get to sleep so we decided to wait until day.. today we are going to go around downtown Lafayette and take pictures and then maybe hit up some malls.. then later tonight I am attending the open AA meeting with Grant and his family... They want me to come so we will see how that goes... Should be a fabulous day : )
